Bye bye 2020! Hello 2021!
“Change the way you look at things and the things you look at change.” Wayne Dyer
It has been a surreal, incredible and at the same time terrifying year! We have been forced and pushed around by life-changing events.
While I tried to manage my life through this turbulence, I learnt that the most important things are my personal values that I hold, I cherish and live by every day. They were my north star in 2020. I also learnt that a wall can not only block me but make me alter my journey, in a direction I have never ever thought to venture into. Or if nothing left, I can paint a lovely picture on that wall. We were forced to halt and contemplate not only on what we want to do but who we are and who we want to become. And most importantly whom we are grateful to, share our life with and not to take each other for granted.
Before we move into 2021, we should stop one more time to reflect.
What personal change has 2020 brought to you? - How joyful or painful those changes were for you? For me 2020 was an emotional roller-coaster. What stood out that nothing wrong with feeling the pain as it can make you learn more than any positive ones and truly shift you, transform you. We should never forget that!
What professional change has 2020 brought to you? – What I experienced this year due to COVID-19 and local legislations that my disadvantages, and difficulties which threw me off balance, can be turned into possibilities. How can you reframe your challenges? How can you turn them into possibilities?
What systemic change 2020 has brought to you? – What I leant that not only zooming in and focusing on my inner and very close circle but zooming out and looking at the big picture holistically can give me sense of security and hope; further more positive inspirations, and unexpected perspectives as well. Put your life, your challenges, your successes into perspectives.
What is your greatest wish for 2021? – One of the most important differentiating qualities for us humans is our ability to dream, wish, imagine and design our future. Use this quality of yours which is one of our super powers. Don’t underestimate its impact! Don’t underestimate your impact when it comes to creating your future! It is always your choice, your decision.

May you fill your New Year with new adventures, accomplishments, and learnings!
